About Us

St Joseph’s School is a Catholic Primary School catering for 200 students from Three Year Old Kindergarten to Year 6. The school is an integral part of the Goldfield’s Parish Community and the school works in very close relationship with the parish.  Our school has a warm, intimate and friendly environment where all children are challenged to reach their potential in a Catholic context.

The school is located in Burt Street in Boulder. St Joseph’s is highly regarded by school and parish families and many of the students are second-generation students of the school. The community has a wide diversity of cultural backgrounds.

There are over 200 children attending the school with a staff of 29, comprising of both teaching and non-teaching staff. Our highly professional and dedicated staff is hardworking and committed to providing a high level of pastoral care and quality education for their students.

There are specialist programs in the area of Health, Science, Visual Arts and Physical Education. The school offers a variety of additional programs including SEEDS (Extension & Gifted and Talented Program), individual instrumental lessons, choir, chess club and dance. The school is very well resourced in all areas.

The partnership of parents and teachers is vital to the achievement of St Joseph’s School goals and vision.  The success of a school is measured as much by the strength of its student and parent community as by its curricula and pastoral objectives and achievements.  Similarly, school culture is shaped and given meaning by its community synergistically sharing common vision and purpose in which the central focus always remains a happy, productive and successful schooling experience for students.  Parents are encouraged to take an active role in the school in support of their children, including through School Board and P & F membership and participation, as well as assisting teachers in the classrooms.
